Today, we think it’s normal that our shoulders, low back, and (blank body part) should hurt. We think that soreness is a sign of how effective a workout.  Unfortunately, both are just not true.  Your body is designed to move and it’s designed to adapt. When the body moves right, pain will go away and soreness is only when you do something new.
